This notice explains how Artos Munitorum Limited ("we", "us", "our") collects and uses your personal information, and your rights under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). If you are in the EU, the EU GDPR applies to our handling of your information on the same basis.
We are the data controller for the information described here. If you have any questions, or want to exercise any of your rights, contact us at info@artosmunitorum.com.
Artos Munitorum Limited is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14772198). We supply reproduction historical armour. Our website is a catalogue only — you cannot place an order or make a payment through it. Enquiries and orders are made by email or social media.
We only collect information you give us directly when you contact us or place an order. This is typically:
your name
your email address
a postal or delivery address, where you place an order
order details
the content of your enquiry or correspondence
If you place an order, payment is made either directly to us (for example, by bank transfer) or through a third-party payment provider. We do not see or store full card details.
We do not collect special category ("sensitive") data, and we do not buy or obtain personal information from third-party data brokers or marketing lists.
Our website is hosted on Google Sites. Google may set a small number of cookies that are necessary to deliver the site and keep it secure. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, and we do not use your browsing to profile or target you. Because only strictly necessary cookies are used, we do not display a cookie consent banner. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings if you wish.
To respond to your enquiries — our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
To process and fulfil your order — performance of our contract with you.
To keep business and accounting records — our legal obligation (for example, HMRC requires us to retain transaction records).
We do not send marketing emails and we do not operate a mailing list.
We share information only where necessary to fulfil your order or meet a legal duty:
couriers or postal services, to deliver your order;
our payment provider, where one is used, to take payment;
HMRC or other authorities, where the law requires it.
We do not sell or rent your information to anyone. If you order from outside the UK, your delivery details may be shared with an international courier to ship your order.
We keep order and transaction records for six years, to meet tax and accounting requirements. Enquiries that do not lead to an order are kept only as long as we need them to deal with the matter, and are then deleted.
Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to: access a copy of your information; have it corrected or erased; restrict or object to how we use it; and, where applicable, data portability. To exercise any of these, email info@artosmunitorum.com. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, you have the right to complain to us directly. Email info@artosmunitorum.com, setting out your concern. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it without undue delay, and keep you informed of progress and the outcome.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We would, however, be grateful for the chance to put things right first.
Our products are not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
